Gladiolus Mixture - a wonderful mixture of these colorful, long-lasting flowers perfect for the full sun, summer garden and for arrangements!
In the past, these flowers have often been referred to as 'funeral flowers' or one of the easy-to-grow staples of the summer cutting garden, but we think glads deserve a spot in the flower border. They sport colorful blossoms alternating up tall stems, come in a myriad of colors and offer linear structure to the back of the garden. Glads prefer full sun, well drained soil and sometimes need to be staked to keep them from falling over. We've found that they often stand up nicely when planted deeply or when grown with other strong, sturdy plants that act as a trellis for them, like cannas; also give a lot of 'bang for your buck'! top sized tubers. Standard varieties are 18"-36" and dwarf varieties are 12"-24".
