cyanocrocus - gentian blue with a small to mid sized white heart.

Native to the sub-alpine grasslands in South America, this incredibly beautiful flower is suitable only for the rock garden or a raised bed because it requires perfect drainage. Can also be enjoyed in a cold frame or alpine house; a treasured collector's item; 3"-5"; whz 7-9; (thought to be extinct in the wild but has been found in the wild in other locations. However, these as well as all of our species bulbs are nursery propagated).
