plumbea 'Nigra' - large 12"-24" wide leaves that are dark green, almost black and somewhat metallic, glossy leaves with edges that are ruffled and indented; dramatic addition to the 'Illusion of shadow' garden; full sun to part shade; 3'-5'.

Huge elephant-ear type leaves which normally point to the heavens add lots of focal impact in the tropical garden and summer patio containers; native to tropical S. and S.E. Asia, these great plants sway and 'sing' a special song in the warm, mid-late summer breezes; zones 9-10.
